One of a kind Mohair Traditional Collector Artist Bear
Lulu's Story
Lulu was hand made by me 'Paws & Claws' when I was a Bear Artist in the 1980's and 1990s. She was exhibited at Business & Design Centre in Islington, London and Town Hall in Brighton and this is where my mum who accompanied me to the Bear Festivals could not resist her any more and took her home.
For the next 25 years she has lived with my parents along with many more of my bear creations. Mum, now elderly, decided she had too many bears which limited space to sit for themselves, so I took Lulu and brought her home to live with me where she has stayed for the last 2 years. Both homes are non smoking. She has not really been cuddled or played with very much at all so despite her age of 27 years she is in excellent condition and is now looking for a new home.
Lulu is a 'One of a Kind' bear made from my own original pattern, born on 21st August 1994. She is 14 inches / 35cms inches standing and 10 inches / 25cm when sat down, she weighs 534 grams.
Lulu is fully jointed and has a hard body with soft cuddly dense mohair fur which is double stitched. She has a hand sewn red nose, which is filled with wood wool, a red mouth and black claws. Her label is sewn in the back seam which is dark green with 'Paws & Claws Collector Bears' sewn on it in gold writing. Her body, arms and legs are filled with Dacron.
Characteristics
Lulu sits quite upright with her right foot pointing upwards and her left foot out to her left slightly. Her left foot points down a little whilst standing.
Materials -
Fabric - 100% Mohair - Caramel Wavy
Pads Fabric - 100% wool felt in a red wine colour which matches her nose thread.
Nose - Embroidered with red wine thread, the tip filled with wood wool.
Eyes - Glass 12mm amber with black pupil
Joints - 5 Traditional Cotter pin 1 1/2 inch / 3.80 cms
Filling - Dacron
Lulu is a Collectors Bear and unfortunately not suitable for children under the age of 14 years.
She be nicely packed and sent tracked and signed for to ensure she arrives safely.
